Name & Profile Picture: To display your user profile within the extension interface.

B. User-Generated & Website Content

Our core service allows you to extract public data from Facebook groups and Twitter/X profiles, hashtags, and feeds. We collect:

Post Data: The specific content of posts, comments, reactions, retweets, likes, and timestamps that you explicitly choose to scrape.
Authentication Tokens: We securely handle tokens to maintain your session with our services.

We strictly do NOT collect:

Your Facebook or Twitter/X passwords or login credentials.
Private messages or non-public data you do not have permission to view.
Financial/Payment information directly (payments are processed securely by our third-party provider, Polar.sh/Stripe).

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

Service Provision: To enable the extraction of Facebook group and Twitter/X data into structured formats (Excel/CSV) as requested by you.
Account Management: To verify your identity, manage your Free/Pro subscription tiers, and track credit usage.
Improvement: To analyze usage patterns (anonymously) and improve the performance and reliability of our extension.

3. Data Storage and Security

Local Processing & Cloud Storage:While the data extraction process happens locally within your browser using your active session, all scraped data—including posts, comments, reactions, retweets, and likes—is securely transmitted to and stored in our private cloud database (hosted on Supabase & ClickHouse). This architecture ensures:

Data Persistence: Your data is safe even if you close your browser or clear your cache.
Cross-Device Access: Access your scraped data from any device by logging into your account.
Performance: Offloading storage prevents browser slowdowns when handling large datasets.

We prioritize your data security and use industry-standard encryption for transmission and storage. Your data is isolated to your account and is never shared with third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Third-Party Services

To provide our service, we may use the following third-party service providers:

Supabase: For secure user authentication and database hosting.
Google Analytics: For collecting anonymous usage statistics to help us improve the product.
Polar.sh / Stripe: For secure payment processing. We do not store your payment card details.

5. Google API Services User Data Policy

Insight Social's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to theGoogle API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
